William and Deanne got in touch with Love in Barcelona just a couple of weeks before their vow renewal ceremony. They initially wanted to celebrate their wedding anniversary in Madrid, but when they saw pictures of the beautiful historical centre of Barcelona, they immediately fell in love with it and changed their mind!
The day started early, we enjoyed some time getting lost in the maze that is Barrio Gothic, and while walking through its narrow streets and alleyways, our amazing photographer Serena captured some of the sweetest shots of the couple.
For the ceremony, we chose a beautiful park in the Montjuic area, where we could enjoy some intimacy. William and Deanne exchanged their vows holding hands and promising to each other love and support for the future years.
They decided to integrate into their ceremony the custom of 13 Gold Coins. This wedding tradition originated in Spain and thirteen gold coins are given by the groom to the bride during the marriage ceremony. The groom giving the coins signifies his willingness to support her and trust in her and the bride accepting them signifies her willingness to trust him and be prudent. It was a very special vow renewal ceremony during which the couple had the opportunity to commemorate the love that has deepened and matured through time.
